About the Artist
The moment I created using my very first art set, Spirograph, at the age of four, I became fascinated with bringing images to life. Soon enough, I became the go to person to drawing anything for everybody.

My high school teacher was one of my biggest fans and did his best to mentor me towards becoming a professional artist and to continue on to University.
During my time in University, I was pushed to discover my own style by exploring many mediums. My love for painting then, influenced my most recent use of plasticine as my preferred medium.

Teaching various art styles and techniques to a variety of ages as young as two, made me discover my other passion, teaching. While raising two children, I furthered my studies to receive my teaching degree with Visual Arts as my teachable.

As each new piece of art is created, my style continues to evolve.

About the Artwork
I began my artistic journey at Brock University in 1993. My mediums have changed throughout the years; from graphite, charcoal, clay, acrylic and oil paints, to my most recent use of plasticine.

During one of my lessons while teaching two year olds the art of making secondary colours, I discovering the vibrant colours that plasticine contributes. It was that moment that I decided to try 'painting with plasticine'.
Plasticine, an oil based medium, replaced oil paints and the palette. Discovering how this material displayed similar impasto effects of oil paints, however adding sculptural qualities to each finished art piece.
Each colour is carefully kneaded together creating unique and vibrant hues. I quickly discovered that body temperature plays a big role from the kneading of colours, to the creation of art pieces. Warm temperatures will allow the plasticine to mix well with one another, and allow for a smooth application onto the canvas. As each kneaded piece is added, not with a palette, but with my thumb, the beauty of form and movement begins to emerge.
My landscapes, reminiscent of the Group of Seven, my human figures which create a topographical image reflective of land forms, influence each other through their creation.

My newest additions, 'Wall of Fame' feature celebrities in their moment.
